A lenticular composition, installed at Ilka Tanya Payan Park,
alternates between an archival photograph from 1910 and the artist’s
contemporary photograph of the same corner where Broadway meets West
157th Street.
This dynamic visual interplay encourages contemplation of how time shapes our surroundings.
The effect is activated simply by walking by. This pedestrian action causes the 1910 photograph from the Museum of the City of New York’s collection to come into view intermittently with Adrian’s photograph from 2023.
